Though it is funny how you people are trying to enforce the pronunciation of a word written in katakana, which used for foreign loan words, and then telling people their pronunciation of said foreign word is wrong. There are no wrong answers, contrary to what others may say (though there can be troll answers).ĮDIT 2: Beating a dead horse now, but please don't leave responses saying mah-gi is the correct pronunciation. You can even vote for carrot under "other" if that's how you say it normally. I mean, to vote for what you usually call this series. I prefer mah-jayh personally since it's reminiscent of magician.ĮDIT: so since there's some confusion about what this poll is about, I want you to join the ar. Rest are other pronunciations that I've heard. Mey-jayh is the correct English pronunciation, while mah-gi is the Japanese pronunciation of the katakana. I've heard this title pronounced in a number of ways and am curious which is the most common. Note: ahy = letter i sound or ai, i = letter e sound or yi.
